Kevin Henderson, BA, Dip SW

I am a qualified and registered Senior Social Work Practitioner with 25 years’ experience of working with children and families. I have worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Teams for most of my career specialising in working with children with autism.

I am fully trained and experienced in Diagnostic tests for Autism in children and adults, using ADIr, RAADS-R, ADIS-2 and 3Di. I have further trained in use of an adapted ADOS/ADIr for use online where we cannot see people in clinic.

I am also qualified and experienced in running groups online or in real life using adapted CBT and DBT for children with autism.

I am enjoying working for the Family Practice Group as part of the Autism Diagnostic Assessment Team and can also offer follow up support and guidance to families. I have experience of direct therapeutic work for a range of mental health problems such as emotional dysregulation, eating difficulties, self-harm, depression, and anxiety.
