Dr Charlotte Montgomery, Clinical Psychologist. BSc, MSc, DClinPsy, CPsychol

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society. I have a Master of Science (MSc Hons) degree in Mental Health Studies, a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I am registered to practice with the Health and Care Professions Council.

My clinical expertise is in the psychological assessment and support of individuals with additional needs. I am skilled in the diagnostic assessment of autism, having worked in both NHS and private practice multi-disciplinary assessment services, and I am formally trained in the ADOS-2 diagnostic assessment tool. I am motivated by ensuring that my psychological assessments capture both the strengths and needs of an individual, as well as the things that are important to them as a person.  I am experienced in delivering evidenced-based interventions that support individuals with their developmental and psychological wellbeing needs and enjoy working with children, young people, and adults.

Within the NHS, I have worked with a wide variety of medical, social, and mental health needs. I am now the clinical lead for a Children’s Centre Psychology service, which supports children and adolescents with complex developmental delays, and/or disabilities, as well as their families. I enjoy working with parents of children and young people with additional needs (including global and specific developmental delays, neurodevelopmental profiles, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities) to support the moments of difficulty and promote the moments of joy.
